A Day of Great Importance
For those of you who did not realize it, Monday, August 7th was a very special day for Shannon. Yes, as of Monday, she has managed to stay married to me for exactly 2 years! For those of you who know me, you'll agree that Shannon deserves a metal or award for such a feat!!!
Seriously, anniversaries are important, of course. Shannon and I have seen God's grace and providence manifested innumerable times in these last two years. When we were wed, there were still many uncertainties about the future (i.e. neither of us had a job), yet our faithful Father has not let us down once since then. So, we once again bless the Lord for his goodness to his undeserving children.
Because I was working twelve hours on monday, we celebrated our anniversary on Saturday, going to our favorite restaurant and shopping, a little. Also, we will be getting away for an extended weekend in September because our packed summer schedule would not allow more time off from work this month. For this long weekend, we will be staying at a resort in western Viriginia, which we are eagerly anticipating.
As wonderful as this anniversary was, we look forward to celebrating our marriage for many, many more years to come. (Maybe next year you should sent Shannon the award!)

Congratulations! It is such a blessing to look at the past and see God's marvelous grace in our lives and how He plans each and every step (even the broken cars!)
TJ and Shannon,
Congratulations on your second anniversary! I really enjoyed coming across your blog by means of the ever-growing list of Northland connections. I'm glad you both got to go to Mark's wedding, too. (Someone married the Stinky Boy!!) Feel free to come look at pictures of our adorably fiesty one-year-old Megan on our blog. It's good to see you all (even your dog :) doing so well.
Sarah (for all three Gwins)

Congratulations!!! Doesn't seem like it's actually been two years since I stood beside you for the ceremony to the scent of burning fake foliage. :) Love you guys!
Hey guys, late congrats...but I know the joy you're feeling...because I am feeling the same. God's grace still amazes me and will for the rest of my life.
Hope you had a fun, romantic and blessed time revisiting what God has done and looking forward to what God has in store.
Now...the question lots of people are probably asking you...when is a little TJ coming along? lol j/k
